Paco Rabanne emerged as a fashion designer that was light years ahead of the fashion establishment of his time. Paco Rabanne decided to apply his vast talent to redefining the legacies he considered ill-adapted to the age, offering fashion as an instrument of individuality, not a mark of social class. He started out creating jewellery for fashion houses Dior and Givenchy before founding his own fashion house in 1966. In the following years, Paco created a name for himself through his flamboyant designs and unconventional use of materials like metal, paper and plastic. Paco Rabanne aimed to dress people with clothing that could dress the mind or body.
Paco Rabanne has a long history of producing fine fragrances starting in 1969 with the release of Calandre, a soft floral. He followed this in 1973 with the release of his first men’s fragrance, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. His perfume and aftershave collection carries this same aim and is wearable and individual without pomp and circumstance.
